Straight answers before you buy.
DIY Warranty offers exclusionary vehicle service contracts. These cover mechanical and electrical components subject to the exclusions, limits and conditions in your contract. The coverage, term, mileage and any additional benefits must match the plan you select. Read the sample contract before you decide.
Exclusionary doesn’t mean everything. Your contract lists the parts and situations it excludes. For example, the Pinnacle sample excludes brake pads and damage from accidents or a failure to maintain the vehicle. Check your own contract’s exclusions and conditions, rather than assuming every repair will be paid.
Before teardown or repairs begin, have the repair facility contact the administrator listed in your contract for authorization. Be ready to provide your contract or VIN and maintenance records if requested. Follow your contract’s repair-location and claims instructions, including any deductible. Contact us if you need help finding those instructions.
Yes. Cancellation and any refund are handled per your contract and applicable state provisions. The published materials describe a 30-day free-look period, but claims, timing, fees and refund calculations can affect what you receive. Read your cancellation section before buying, and follow its instructions if you decide to cancel.
Your contract may be transferable to the next owner if you meet its transfer requirements. Contact the administrator before the sale to check eligibility, paperwork, deadline and any fee. Transfer is not automatic, and moving coverage to a different car is not the same thing. The details are per your contract.
